Celebrate Cumberland’s Japanese Canadian History: June 8

June 8, 2019

All are welcome to attend a ceremony commemorating new interpretive signage and trails at the No.1 Japanese Town Site in Coal Creek Historic Park, a collaborative project between the Village of Cumberland and the Cumberland Museum and Archives.

The ceremony begins at 1:30pm at the No 1. Japanese Town site, Comox Lake Road.

Following the ceremony, join us at the museum to socialize and celebrate the opening of the Royston Lumber Mill exhibit.

We gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia for the interpretive trail project at the No. 1 Japanese Town Site. We further acknowledge funding from the Old House Hotel and Spa Mayor’s Golf Charity Classic for the Royston Lumber Mill exhibit.
