On Saturday May 24 all the Katimavik groups had to plan an event to celebrate Katimavik's 30th Anniversary. The group located in Courtenay chose to help clean up the Number Six Mine Memorial Park.
The group helped out by cutting grass, staining wood, weeding, and laying gravel throughout the morning. Then they held a BBQ for all the people from the community who donated some of their time to help.
