2020 is a unique year for the Cumberland Museum & Archives. In light of the unprecedented circumstances, on March 17th, the museum & archives closed its doors to the public in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our communities. Three months later, on June 20th as part of the Miners Memorial Celebrations, the CMA reopened its doors with revised health and safety measures in place to ensure a safe environment for visitors and staff. Like other arts and culture centres, community organizations, and local businesses the financial hardships have been felt by the CMA.
